Soil stabilisation with lime

Clayey soil stabilisation with lime is a widespread technique which is universally accepted and has been requested for years in contracts with entities of national importance (ANAS and RFI – add link).
The enormous advantage it offers is the possibility to process and use soil that would otherwise be sent to a landfill.

The type of lime that is used most is calcium oxide, commonly known as quicklime. Hydrated lime, the slaked type of oxide, is equally effective but economically unattractive because much lighter and more voluminous than its reactive type.
Over the years, Unicalce has developed a family of stabilisation products registered with the name UNIROAD™. These products have been optimised in terms of purity, particle size and iteration with clays to meet their processing needs, making it possible to guarantee good results on the construction site.
The UNIROAD™ flagship product is UNIROAD SP™, the only lime without dust.
