Over the years Unicalce has been developing a family of specific stabilization products.

The Unicalce department that deals with development, production, sale and technical assistance for solutions for soil stabilisation with lime, and for the preparation of bituminous conglomerates improved by the addition of hydrated lime specific for asphalt.
Products
Clayey soil stabilisation with lime is a widespread technique which is universally accepted and has been requested for years in contracts with entities of national importance (ANAS and RFI – add link). The enormous advantage it offers is the possibility to process and use soil that would otherwise be sent to a landfill. The documentation viewable here contains details of all the processing stages, which are:
  • Soil analysis
  • Determination of the quantity of lime to be used depending on the destination of the treated material (modification or stabilisation)
  • Preparation of the site area (topsoil removal and moisture analysis)
  • Liming the ground according to the directions given by the laboratory
  • Mixing the soil with lime
  • Compaction
  • Next layer or coverage
